Meet the latest BMW 640i xDrive Gran Turismo aimed to replace the outgoing 5-Series GT. A new generation of a familiar concept now wears a fresh name badge being actually a crossover-style four-door hatchback. The new 6-Series will be available in the U.S. only.

The 2018 BMW 6-Series GT hatchback shares its platform with 5-Series long-wheel-base sedan riding a longer wheelbase, though, and a larger trunk. Total weight has been also optimized, due to adding aluminum and high-steel components to the chassis and body. The all-wheel-drive 335-hp GT is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine with 332 lb-ft of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As a result, the car will hit 0-60mph time in 5.1 seconds getting a top speed of 130mph.
The Gran Turismo is expected to go on sale this autumn, with the pricing tag around $70,695.
